Purple Smoothie

I am not a breakfast person, actually I hate breakfast. I don’t hate breakfast food, I just have never been able stomach eating right when I wake up. Now your thinking “What?? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” I know, I know.

For the past couple of months now I have been using Herbalife Vanilla shake mix and I have finally found something I actually want to eat/drink in the morning. Having a shake on my way to work is way better for me than having a full out breakfast meal, and it taste amazing! I get the nutrition I need and I stay full until lunch!

What you need: 

1 Banana
1 Handful of Frozen Blueberries
1 Cup Milk (regular, almond, coconut, whatever you like)
1/2 Cup Coconut Water
2 Scoops of Herbalife Vanilla Powder


Blend until smooth. You can add extra ice if you want, but my blender stinks so I try to keep the frozens to a minimum. If you’re feelin’ frisky try adding chia seeds, oats, or honey for some extra nutrition. I am always adding new things to see whats good!

Blueberries have one of the highest antioxidants capacity amongst all fruits. I have always loved blueberries and as a family we used to pick blueberries in the summer out in East Texas where my grandparents live. My mom could pick more than all of us combined, so we always had tons of blueberries in the freezer. You can freeze blueberries for over 5 months without loosing any nutritional value!

I add coconut water because it is insanely hydrating and has been called “natures Gatorade”. I normally don’t drink enough water, so I started adding coconut water to my smoothie for a small boost of hydration and electrolytes.
