I love to take my big camera (Nikon D5100) with me when I travel and I actually haven’t brought it on my last few trips, and this being my first time in Vegas I knew I had to bring it. I have had a love of photography from a very young age and I have actually even photographed a few weddings before I was even 20 years old! Photography has been put in the back seat for a while now, but I always get excited to take photos when I am adventuring into a new place and there are just some things an iPhone camera doesn’t do justice.
My first time in Vegas was so so so great. I got pulled on stage at the Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana show, which if you know me, made me want to pee my pants. The performers came out into the crowd and I had this awful feeling, they went to one side of the audience and came past me and a couple seconds later came right back. I couldn’t say no, you don’t say no to once in a lifetime opportunities. They did a little skit with me and it was so incredible, I still can’t believe it really happened.
If you go to Las Vegas, you have to go to the Neon Museum. I have seen this place on several TV shows, most recently ABC’s The Bachelor. It was really cool to learn about the history of the signage that has come out of Las Vegas during the past century. I’m usually not one to plan a trip to the museum but I knew we had to come here!
